During our book club discussion of Feed by M.T. Anderson, I learned that you really have to be creative with the questions you ask, because when this video goes on the internet, to get the most views, you need eye-catching material. They way Salem and I created our video, we wanted the most interesting material, that still expressed our view of the book. I also learned that we can pause the conversation, regroup and continue our discussion without anyone noticing due to the magical powers of editing.
I think the thing I will do differently when we have Lit Circles next week will be to be more prepared. I prepared but I think I could have planned a little more, and I could know some more page numbers and examples.
I think during the discussion, I was the leader and sort of the reporter on how Salem felt on the book. I like taking charge and it was a natural organization. I lead the discussion well but I think I could have let Salem speak a little more.
